Drive growth and customer engagement as part of our small but ambitious internal sales team. You’ll focus on building strong, long-term relationships with both new and existing customers, identifying opportunities, and maximising sales through proactive outreach and exceptional service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Proactively connect with existing customers to strengthen relationships and increase repeat business
- Reach out to new and previously dormant accounts to spark fresh opportunities and win new business
- Introduce and sell existing lighting products to customers currently purchasing from alternative suppliers
- Manage and develop relationships with an array of FM (Facilities Management) clients, ensuring their needs are met and identifying opportunities for growth
- Plan and manage your sales activity to hit – and exceed – agreed targets
- Handle incoming enquiries, create, and follow up on quotes, process orders, and resolve any issues quickly and professionally
Person & Skills Required:
- Significant telephone sales experience, ideally in the lighting, electrical wholesale, or related sectors (e.g., building services, M&E contracting)
- Knowledge of the UK lighting market, including LED, emergency lighting, and controls, would be advantageous, though full product and market training will be provided
- Successful track record in managing customers and driving sales performance
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Positive, proactive, and resilient attitude with the ability to perform under pressure
- Energetic and dynamic personality, with a passion for achievement and success
- Strong customer service focus and relationship-building skills
- Highly organised, detail-oriented, and a strong team player
- Full UK driving licence required
