General Role:
Technical Sales Representatives are usually responsible for the sourcing of sales opportunities and completing designs, specifications and equipment quotations for various different sectors such as Fire Detection, Lighting, Wiring & Distribution etc.
Main duties generally include:
  • The Sourcing of sales opportunities and completing  system designs, specifications and equipment quotations
  • Business development and sales
  • Producing detailed system designs 
  • Producing associated documentation to support system designs e.g. specification documentation, technical submissions, engineering calculations, certification and drawings
  • Accurate quantification of materials from drawings and specifications to produce product and service quotations
  • Provide technical support to clients

  • Excellent technical ability in area of expertise
  • Ability to source and verify information from industry standards, codes of practice and manufacturers' literature
  • An ability to work to deadlines
  • Organized with an exceptional attention to detail
  • Well presented, personable with excellent communication skills
  • Competent and an ability to learn to use different software platforms
