Role:
The role of Systems Trainee is to support the Development Teams in analysing business needs, process improvement, supporting system change, and contributing to the delivery of technology solutions across the organisation. What you’ll be doing
- Business Analysis and Requirements Gathering
- Collaborate with stakeholders across the business to understand challenges and drive system improvements.
- Gather, document, and translate business requirements into specifications.
- Develop and contribute to product roadmaps aligned with business objectives.
- Build strong relationships across the organisation to influence change and drive efficiencies.
- Software Development Lifecycle Support
- Gain exposure to the end-to-end systems development lifecycle, from discovery and requirements through to design, build, testing, deployment, and post-implementation support.
- Assist with testing activities, including preparing test scenarios, supporting user acceptance testing, capturing defects, and tracking resolution.
- Support implementation and rollout activities, including user communications, training materials, and handover documentation.
- Project Support
- Support project managers in coordinating activities across projects and workstreams.
- Maintain project documentation, plans, and action logs.
- Track progress against agreed tasks, milestones, and deliverables.
- Help coordinate communication between technical teams, business stakeholders, suppliers, and other departments.

Qualifications & Requirements
- Degree (preferred) in a relevant field
- Commutable to Knutsford daily
- Interest in business systems, technology, and process improvement
- Basic understanding of data analysis tools (e.g. Excel) beneficial
Development & Progression
- Industry-recognised training (e.g. BCS, APM etc.)
- Role Specific Training e.g. Excel, SQL etc.
- Support for Self-Directed Learning.
- Career progression towards becoming a Business Applications Analyst.
