- Maximising profitable sales by hitting targets given
- Managing sales productivity, effectively tracking your selling activities and managing contact information for sales prospects and existing clients
- Scheduling visits or meetings with clients within your sales territory either by telephone or face-to-face depending on requirements
- Usually working with developers, architects, engineers, wholesalers and end users to optimise sales
- Managing and maintaining existing accounts & following up leads
- Building strong relationships with all contacts
- Carrying out presentations and training
- Effective account management
To be an effective Area Sales Manager, you will need to demonstrate commanding knowledge of your target customers, existing competitors in the marketplace and industry trends that may impact a buying decision. - Ideally, you would live within the area to be covered
- At least 1 years’ experience in a similar position would be preferred
- Strong negotiation and closing skills and excellent time management
- Professional appearance with strong presentation skills
- Enthusiastic, proactive and organised with good use of initiative
- Full UK driving licence, preferably clean
- Confident, reliable and punctual, self-motivated and enthusiastic with a solid work ethic
