Warehouse Manager – Electrical Industry
Salary: Up to £40,000 per annum, depending on experience
Hours: 7:30am to 5:30am Monday to Friday
Location: Middlesex
Company Description: A large, well-established independent electrical wholesale distributor based in London
Role: The Warehouse Manager will oversee the safe receipt, storage, retrieval, and timely despatch of goods. Ensuring that workplace health & safety requirements are met, quality standards are maintained, and stock is correctly allocated within the warehouse.
Person: You must be reliable and punctual, highly self-motivated and organised. Required to oversee all operations in a large warehouse, reporting to the Purchasing Director.

- A minimum of 2 years’ background in general warehouse management
- Good organisational and communication skills with the ability to work to tight deadlines
- Proven track record of implementing improvement procedures, standards and systems
- A methodical and thorough approach to work
- A strong attention to detail
- An ability to prioritise workload and stay calm under pressure
- Demonstrable achievements in increasing productivity, cost saving strategies and reducing waste
- Health & Safety training
- Logistics & Transport Management Experience
- Accountable for the smooth operation of the warehouse function which includes stock, specials, goods in, picking & packing, despatch and delivery
- Manage and lead the warehouse team to drive a continuous improvement culture
- Continuously improve warehouse operation policies through KPI’s and warehouse standards, reduce wastage and improve efficiency, ensuring a tidy and well organised warehouse
- Recruitment, training and performance management, identification of training needs for all personnel within the team to ensure maximum flexibility within the operation of the department through continued training & development
- Coordination with other departments to ensure warehouse is managed in accordance with the overall business objectives
- Control and manage the perpetual stocktake in accordance with company procedures
