Warehouse & Trade Counter Manager
Salary: £25,000 to £28,000 negotiable, depending on experience plus profit sharing scheme & contributory pension scheme
Location: Southall, Middlesex
Hours: 7:30am to 5:00pm Monday to Friday & 1 Saturday morning per month (8:00am to 12:00pm-paid overtime)

Essential Skills:
- A minimum of 2 years’ background in general warehouse management
- Trade Counter experience (Electrical Wholesale, Building or Plumbing Trade preferred)
- Good organisational and communication skills with the ability to work to tight deadlines
- A methodical and thorough approach to work
- An ability to prioritise workload and stay calm under pressure
- Health & Safety training
- Strong attention to detail & very organised
- A positive and hardworking attitude
- Flexible and adaptive personality
- Reliable and punctual, self-motivated and enthusiastic with a solid work ethic and a “can do” attitude whilst being a team player who enjoys a busy and productive working environment
- Forklift License
Key Responsibilities:
- To oversee the safe receipt, storage, retrieval, and timely despatch of goods, ensuring that workplace health & safety requirements are met, quality standards are maintained, and stock is correctly allocated within the warehouse
- Accountable for the smooth operation of the warehouse including stock rotation, goods in/out, picking & packing, despatch and delivery
- To continuously improve Health & Safety standards, reduce wastage and improve efficiency, ensuring a tidy and well organised warehouse
- Coordination with other departments to ensure warehouse is managed efficiently
- Control and manage the Annual stocktakes in accordance with company procedures
- Serving customers on the busy trade counter, managing customer enquiries and orders
- Building, developing and managing relationships with customers
- Re-stocking shelves and keeping the trade counter tidy, organising promotions and special offers
