Van Driver/Warehouse/Trade Counter Person – Electrical Wholesale

Salary & Benefits: £24,000 to £25,000 per annum depending on experience plus contributory pension scheme & profit-sharing scheme
Hours: 7:30am to 5:30pm Monday to Friday
Location: Bracknell, Berkshire
 
Company Description: A well-established Nationwide Electrical Distributor looking to expand their centre in Bracknell. The business provides a wide range of products to customers, from their trade counter and by daily delivery service.

Role: Covering Berkshire, Hampshire & London, the Van Delivery Driver’s role includes making customer deliveries and assisting the warehouse team in general warehouse duties including; loading the van, picking customer orders, goods in/out and general upkeep and tidiness.
Role will also include serving customers on the trade counter.
**Driving Licence essential**
 
Person: You must be reliable and punctual, be self-motivated and enthusiastic with a solid work ethic and a “can do” attitude whilst being a team player who enjoys a busy and productive working environment.
 
Essential Skills:

  • A minimum of 2 years’ background in general warehouse management
  • Trade Counter experience (Electrical Wholesale, Building or Plumbing Trade preferred) 
  • An ability to prioritise workload and stay calm under pressure
  • Health & Safety training
  • Strong attention to detail & very organised
  • A positive and hardworking attitude
  • Flexible and adaptive personality
  • Reliable and punctual, self-motivated and enthusiastic with a solid work ethic and a “can do” attitude whilst being a team        player who enjoys a busy and productive working environment
  • Full UK Driving Licence
  • Good geographical knowledge of London (including Central/City of London)
 
Key Responsibilities:
 
  • To oversee the safe receipt, storage, retrieval, and timely despatch of goods, ensuring that workplace health & safety requirements are met, quality standards are maintained, and stock is correctly allocated within the warehouse
  • Accountable for the smooth operation of the warehouse including stock rotation, goods in/out, picking & packing, despatch and delivery 
  • Coordination with other departments to ensure warehouse is managed efficiently 
  • Serving customers on the trade counter, managing customer enquiries and orders              
  • Re-stocking shelves and keeping the trade counter tidy, organising promotions and special offers
