Trade Counter/Warehouse Manager – Electrical Wholesale

Salary & Benefits: £25,000 to 30,000 per annum negotiable, depending on experience plus Profit Sharing Scheme
Hours: 7:00am to 5:00pm Monday to Friday
Location: Crawley
Company Description: A well-established independent Electrical Distributor in Crawley with strengths from within the Aviation, Renewable Energy, Industrial, Commercial, Residential, and Telecommunication sectors.
 
Role:
  • To oversee the safe receipt, storage, retrieval, and timely despatch of goods, ensuring that workplace health & safety requirements are met, quality standards are maintained, and stock is correctly allocated within the warehouse
  • To provide an unrivalled service in all areas of the Trade Counter, where the focus is Customer First
 
Key Responsibilities:
  • Accountable for the smooth operation of the warehouse including stock rotation, goods in/out, picking & packing, despatch and delivery
  • To continuously improve Health & Safety standards, reduce wastage and improve efficiency, ensuring a tidy and well organised warehouse
  • Coordination with other departments to ensure warehouse is managed efficiently
  • Serving customers over a busy trade counter
  • Processing orders and quotations
  • Building, developing and managing relationships with customers and suppliers
  • Ensuring all records, systems and paperwork are kept up-to-date
  • Trade Counter merchandising
 
Skills Required:
 
  • Good standard of English & Mathematics
  • Electrical Wholesale experience
  • Warehouse experience
  • Trade Counter experience
  • Full UK Driving license
  • Forklift License
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Attention to detail & super organised
  • A positive and hardworking attitude
  • Able to work well in a small team
  • Flexible and adaptive personality
