Multi-Drop 3.5Tonne Delivery Driver
 
Salary: £22,000 - £24,000 depending on experience per annum plus contributory pension scheme
Hours: 7:00am to 5:15pm Monday to Friday & 8:00am to 12:00pm alternate Saturdays
Location: Enfield
Company Description: An independent, family-run provider of quality products and services for the electrical trade. Due to the continued success and expansion of their business, an exciting opportunity has arisen for a Van Driver/ Warehouse Person to join their team at the Enfield Electrical Wholesalers Branch.
Role: Efficient loading of vehicles and making deliveries to sites and customers. Collecting and/delivering goods to and from other branches. Undertaking various other driving jobs required in relation to the efficient operation of the business. Assisting in the yard area with deliveries and assisting customers where necessary. Covering all of London within the M25 and the Home Counties.
 
Ideal Candidate:

  • Multi-Drop Delivery driving experience and full clean UK driving license is essential.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Lift materials and load vehicles, adopting safe lifting and handling procedures at all times
  • Ensure all loads are secure, stable and not hazardous
  • Ensure that the vehicle is roadworthy and safe. Performing the checks that are included in the standard company procedures
  • Report any concerns about the safety of your vehicle, or any defect in maintenance or repair to your Branch Manager as and when they occur
  • Observe strict adherence to the Company’s health and safety procedures at all times
  • Ensure that the appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) is worn at all times
  • Accurately completing delivery paperwork
  • Goods in & out, picking & packing orders
  • Ensuring correct allocation of stock & unloading and loading of vans
  • Ensuring deliveries are correct
