​Inventory Controller – Electrical Wholesale
 
 
Salary: £Salary negotiable, depending on experience, plus pension contribution, annual profit sharing scheme and 25 days holiday plus bank holidays
Hours: 7:30am to 5:00pm Monday to Friday
Location: Bedford

Role:
As an inventory controller, you will be responsible for actively supporting the Manager in the growth of the business by sourcing products at the best possible prices and developing strategies for increasing existing business and sourcing new business.
**Experience working in the Electrical Wholesale or Trade sector is essential.
 
Person:
  • You must be reliable and punctual, be self-motivated and enthusiastic with a solid work ethic and a “can do” attitude
  • Attention to detail & well organised
  • A team player who enjoys a busy and productive working environment
  • Excellent IT skills
  • Stock control conversant and stock turn aware
  • The ability to overview to consolidate stock and maximise rebate opportunities  
 
Key Responsibilities:
  • Placing and reviewing purchase orders with suppliers either on the phone, by email or direct online, looking to make as much cost savings as possible
  • Liaising with all departments and suppliers
  • Be responsible for escalation of potential stock problems and be prepared to present solutions
  • Identification of new products
  • Building, developing and managing relationships with suppliers and customers
  • Ensuring all records, systems and paperwork are kept up-to-date
  • Effective communication with fellow staff and suppliers' representatives is a key ability, as are professional negotiating skills
