​Cable Reeler/Cutter & Warehouse Operative– Electrical Wholesale
 
Salary: £Salary negotiable per year depending on experience plus Contributory pension scheme and bonus scheme
Hours: 8:00am to 6:00pm Monday to Friday (occasional Saturdays)
Location: Chelmsford

Company Description: A well-established Nationwide Electrical Distributor that provides a wide range of products to customers, from their trade counter and by daily delivery service. Fantastic career progression and various training schemes available for all staff.

Role: As a cable reeler/cutter & warehouse operative, you will use automotive reeling machines to measure, cut, and pack electrical cables for transportation to construction sites.  The job will require the use of forklift trucks to retrieve, load and unload cable from the stock racking and stock location areas.  Forklift truck training can/will be provided, although experience is preferential.

Person: You must be reliable and punctual, be self-motivated and enthusiastic with a solid work ethic and a “can do” attitude whilst being a team player who enjoys a busy and productive working environment. You must also have the following attributions:
• The applicant must be physically fit and possess suitable physical strength due to the nature of the 
   job and heavy lifting. They will be required to reel cable onto small drum spindles from donor
   drums weighing up to 4 tonnes
• A methodical and thorough approach to work
• Previous Warehouse experience
• An ability to prioritise workload and stay calm under pressure
• A great team player
• A desire to show initiative
• Assertiveness, honesty and reliability
• Forklift licence (preferable but not essential as training will be given)
• A knowledge and respect for health and safety is a must, you will be involved in all aspects of             warehouse operations to include goods in, despatch, and stock control     

Key Responsibilities:
• The ability to locate stock on a grid-based stock management system 
• Setting up, operating and closing down the machine after every use

• Stock Control
