Business Development Manager – South East England
 
Salary: Up to £45,000 plus profit sharing scheme, company car, laptop, mobile phone, excellent company pension scheme & 25 days holiday
Location: South East of England
Company Description: A leading distributor of cabling solutions into the telecom, security and network cabling marketplace. The business supplies into the electrical wholesale marketplace, security and telecoms industries and are part of a global group of companies employing over 1,700 people throughout the UK.
 
Role:  This role is focused on the London Data Network Infrastructure and Data Centre market and also working with electrical wholesalers across the South East Region.
  • To promote and sell a range of data network products to electrical wholesalers, data installers, specifiers and consultants including; Copper Lan cables & connectivity, Fibre cables & connectivity, Cabinets & Racks, Cable Management and Labelling & Security
  • Proactively develop close relationships with all major installers
  • Build product and brand awareness with consultants and specifiers that are working on various projects
 
Person & Skills Required:
 
  • This role would suit someone that has proven external sales experience in the electrical wholesale industry or data background with experience of selling to installers, electrical wholesalers and working with specifiers.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • A positive and hardworking attitude with the ability to work under pressure
  • Dynamic with a good sense of humour and a passion for achievement and success
  • Customer focused approach
  • This role will require a hard-working and likeable individual, who will grow relationships and offer exceptional levels of customer service to their diverse customer base
 
As a key role in our business development, we plan to invest in a full technical/product training and induction programme for the person in this role. We also offer a continual training programme covering all aspects of selling and customer acquisition to promote ongoing professional development and continual success.
