Location: Oxfordshire

Company Description: A well established Nationwide Electrical Distributor looking to expand their centre in Oxford. The business provides a wide range of products to customers, from their busy trade counter and by daily delivery service. Fantastic career progression and various training schemes available for all employees.

Role: As an assistant manager, you will be responsible for actively supporting the Branch Manager in the growth of the business by sourcing products at the best possible prices and developing strategies for increasing existing business and sourcing new business. A full driving license is essential as the visiting of customers will be required. Experience working in the Electrical Wholesale sector is essential - you need to know your customers and your competition.

Person: You must be reliable and punctual, be self-motivated and enthusiastic with a solid work ethic and a “can do” attitude whilst being a team player who enjoys a busy and productive working environment. Effective communication with fellow staff and suppliers' representatives is a key ability, as are professional negotiating skills. *Driving License is essential*

Key Responsibilities:
​• Developing strategies for increasing business with existing customers and sourcing new business and developing dormant accounts.
• Visiting customers to develop good working relationships
• Motivating your team • Maintaining a good level of product knowledge
• Reactively handling incoming telephone calls
• Processing orders and quotations using the company system
• Building, developing and managing relationships with suppliers and customers
• Ensuring all records, systems and paperwork are kept up-to-date
• Dealing with other branches and departments in a professional manner
