Assembly Operative – Electrical Industry

Salary: £20,000 per annum, depending on experience plus bonus
Hours: 8:00am to 4:30pm Monday to Friday
Location: West Midlands
Company Description: A European Multinational company that manufactures and distributes a diverse range of industrial electrical distribution, components and supplies and EV charging products.

Role: The role involves assembly and production work and general warehouse duties:
  • Packing and re-packing deliveries
  • Loading & unloading trucks using manual handling, pallets & forklift truck
  • Fitting & assembling products
  • Using hand and power tools
  • Quality Checking
  • Reading basic drawings to assemble products
  • Keeping area clean and tidy at all times
  • Liaising with other departments

Person: You must be reliable and punctual, be self-motivated and enthusiastic with a solid work ethic and a “can do” attitude whilst being a team player who enjoys a busy and productive working environment. You must also have the following attributions:
  • General warehouse experience
  • Experience within an electrical assembly role in Distribution, PCB or Panel Building desirable
  • Reach forklift license
  • Good organisational and communication skills with the ability to work to tight deadlines
  • A methodical and thorough approach to work
  • A strong attention to detail
  • An ability to prioritise workload and stay calm under pressure
  • A great team player or able to work on own initiative
  • Assertiveness, honesty and reliability.

Full training will be provided with the successful candidates integrating into a dynamic existing team of similarly skilled individuals.
